GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C134 - A436 STOW ROAD TO CORNWELL BOUNDARY (ALDLESTROP PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C134 – A436 Stow Road to Cornwell County Boundary from its junction with the A436 to its junction with the County Boundary for a distance of approximately 1.306 kilometres.

The reason for the said closure is for Ash tree Dieback cutting works

The said road is expected to be closed from 10th November 2025 to 13th November 2025 or until the works have been completed. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

PROPOSED STOPPING UP OF PART OF CLASSIFIED ROAD NUMBER B4068 LAND FRONTING 1-5 AUBREY MEWS, LOWER SWELL ROAD, STOW-ON-THE-WOLD

NOTICE is hereby given that an application will be made to the Magistrates’ sitting at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on the 8th December 2025 at 10am for an Order to stop up all public highway rights over the area of land described in the Schedule hereto.

Any representations or objections about this application can either be put in writing addressed to the Listing Clerk, HMCTS Gloucestershire, PO Box 9051, Gloucester, GL1 2XG or the Assistant Director of Legal Services, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG (please quote reference 85484) or any person may attend the above hearing at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court, Cheltenham Courthouse, St George’s Road, Cheltenham, GL50 3PF on the 8th December 2025 at 10am.

Description of Highway to be Stopped Up

The land subject to the stopping-up is as shown crosshatched on drawing number TA252b. It currently forms part of classified highway B4068 Lower Swell Road in Stow-on-the-Wold, outside the properties known as 1 - 5 Aubrey Mews. It is approximately rectangular in shape on the ground, and the area comprises a series of steps/ramps, grass and cable shipping, providing access to the private properties. It is approximately 36.5 metres in length from its western end to its eastern end and is approximately 1.8 metres wide.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400644 CHAPEL LANE (COLD ASTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400644 Chapel Lane from outside the property known as ‘The Green’ to outside the property known as ‘No. 8’ for a distance of approximately 26 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for the installation of pressure monitoring equipment.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400521 CLAY LANE (BLOCKLEY PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400521 Clay Lane Road from its junction with Pudlicott Lane to its junction with Blockley Footpath 4 for a distance of approximately 800 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for BT connection works.

The said road is expected to be closed on 25th November 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.
