PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY KNOTTINGLEY NO. 8

On 3rd November 2025 The Council of the City of Wakefield confirmed the above order. The effect of the order as confirmed will be to divert a public bridleway 3m wide shown by a bold solid line on the plan annexed hereto commencing at its junction with the existing path at Point A on the plan at Grid Reference SE 5046 2259 and proceeding in a northwesterly direction for approximately 110 metres to its junction with the existing path at Point C on the plan at Grid Reference SE 5036 2264 to a public bridleway 3m wide shown by a broken solid line on the plan annexed hereto commencing at its junction with the existing path at Point A on the plan at Grid Reference SE 5046 2259 and proceeding in a generally northerly direction for approximately 40 metres to Point B on the plan at Grid Reference SE5044 2264, then proceeding in a generally westerly direction for approximately 14 metres to its junction with the existing path at Point C at Grid Reference SE 5036 2264

The diversion of the claimed public bridleway shall have effect on the date of confirmation of the order and upon the occurrence of that diversion the Council of the City of Wakefield definitive map shall be modified by deleting from it the path referred to in paragraph 1 of the order and the definitive statement shall be modified as described in Part 3 of the schedule to the order.

A copy of the Order and the Order map may be requested via e mail at prowteam@wakefield.gov.uk This order comes into force on the date of confirmation of the order but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published as required by paragraph [7][8] of Schedule 14 to that Act.
