What is happening?

(Rudgwick: Public Bridleway No. 1352)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Bridleway No. 1352, from The Haven (507573.217, 130118.971) to Okehurst Road (507631.739, 129565.184), a distance of 550m.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to a broken bridge.

Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.

The Order will come into effect on 10 November 2025 and will last for 6 months.

((Horsham District) (Parking Places And Traffic
Regulation) (Consolidation No. 2) Order 2006)
(Caterways Amendment) Order 202*

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC propose to make a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:

(i)  alter the waiting restriction in the limited waiting bays on the southern end of Caterways to a mix of 1 hour and 4 hours with no return 1 hour. The restriction will apply 9.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Saturday; and

(ii)  relocate the disabled parking bay on the southern end of Caterways.

The consultation for these proposals will start on 6 November 2025 and, AT THAT TIME, full details of the proposals in this Notice can be viewed on our website www.westsussex.gov.uk/tro. The website includes a response form for comments or objections.

Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.

Any objections or comments about these proposals must be received by 27 November 2025. Horsham & North Horsham: Various Roads)
(Prohibition Of Heavy Commercial Vehicles)
(Consolidation) Order 202*

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of goods vehicles exceeding 7.5tonnes on Parsonage Road, between Wimblehurst Road and Parsonage Way and on the entire lengths of Richmond Road and Gordon Road.

The consultation for this proposal will start on 6 November 2025 and, AT THAT TIME, full details of the proposals in this Notice can be viewed on our website www.westsussex.gov.uk/tro. The website includes a response form for comments or objections.

(Slinfold: Public Footpath No. 1401)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the Order made by WSCC under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and which came into force on 1 May 2024, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport, will now continue in force until 1 November 2027 or until the works are completed.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to a condemned bridge. The replacement bridge works are scheduled to take place in 2027/28.

The effect of the Order remains unchanged and is to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 1401, from its north-western end at its junction with Public Bridleway No. 1400 (510879.2, 132928.3), south-eastwards to its junction with Public Bridleway No. 1400 (511007.9, 132825.3), a distance of approximately 165M.

Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.
