Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Kewstoke Road, Kewstoke, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 12 January 2026

Ref: SW25.26-204

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for a Customer Connection. This order will become operative on the 12 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Kewstoke Road from junction of Anson Road for approximately 300m westwards.

Celtic Way, Bleadon, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 16 January 2026

Ref: SW25.26-205

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for pole replacement. This order will become operative on the 16 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Longridge Way, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 27 January 2026

Ref: SW25.26-207

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water for a cover repair. This order will become operative on the 27 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 16 February 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water for a new water connection. This order will become operative on the 16 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Orchard Street, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Temporary Revocation of One-Way Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 18 January 2026

Ref: SW25.26-209

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. Additionally, to revoke, temporarily, the One-Way restriction specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water for new water connection. This order will become operative on the 18 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures and restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Orchard Street closed from junction with Cross Street to junction with Meadow Street. Revocation of One-Way on Orchard Street from junction with Alexandra Parade to junction with Cross Street.

Footpath Torrington Crescent to Lynmouth Close, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 20 January 2026

Ref: SW25.26-210

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for emergency services which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for duct laying. This order will become operative on the 20 January 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 18 November 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to carry out a new water connection. This order is hereby permanent. This order will become operative on the 18 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 18 November 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to replace a cover. This order will become operative on the 18 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
