Sandy Hill Road, Saundersfoot - Temporary Road Closure due to Hedge Bank Removal and Highway Works

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Pembrokeshire County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order is necessary so that hedge bank removal and associated highway works can be carried out.

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic other than exempted vehicles from proceeding along that section of Sandy Hill Road, Saundersfoot – from its junction with Sandy Hill Park, southeast to a point near the property known as Hopshill Mountain Farm.

It is intended that the restrictions, which will be signed accordingly, will come into effect on Monday 10th November 2025 for approximately 10 days between 07:30hrs-18:00hrs, however on Wednesday 19th November 2025, a night-time closure will be required between 18:00hrs-06:00hrs to complete surfacing.

The alternative route for traffic will be via Stammers Road, St Brides Hill, B4316 Saundersfoot to New Hedges Roundabout, A478 Tenby to Narberth road and Sandy Hill Road.

The Order will remain valid for a maximum period of 18 months as a contingency should the works need to be rescheduled or in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.

Rhoddir RHYBUDD drwy hyn bod Cyngor Sir Penfro wedi gwneud Gorchymyn ar dan Adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 fel y diwygiwyd gan Ddeddf Traffig Ffyrdd (Cyfyngiadau Dros Dro) 1991.

Mae’r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol er mwyn gallu cael gwared ar glawdd a chynnal gwaith priffyrdd sy’n gysylltiedig â hyn.

Bydd effaith y gorchymyn fod y cyllid o draffig cerbydau dros dro, heblaw am gerbydau sydd wedi’u hesemptio, rhag mynd ar hyd y rhan honno o Sandy Hill Road, Saundersfoot – o’i chyffordd â pharc Sandy Hill, i’r de-ddwyrain i bwynt ger eiddo’r enw Hopshill Mountain Farm.

Fe fwriedir y bydd y cyfyngiadau, a fydd yn cael eu dangos gan arwyddion priodol, yn dod i rym ddydd Llun 10 Tachwedd 2025 am oddeutu 10 diwrnod rhwng 7.30am a 6pm. Fodd bynnag, ddydd Mercher 19 Tachwedd 2025, bydd angen cau'r ffordd yn y nos rhwng 6am a 5am i gwblhau’r gwaith o osod wyneb newydd.

Y llwybr arall ar gyfer traffig fydd trwy Stammers Road, St Brides Hill, fodrwy B4316 Saundersfoot i gyffordd New Hedges, ffordd yr A478 Dinbych-y-pysgod i Arberth a Sandy Hill Road.

Bydd y gorchymyn yn aros mewn grym hyd at uchafswm o 18 mis fel cynllun wrth gefn pe bai angen aildrefnu’r gwaith, neu os bydd unrhyw amgylchiadau annisgwyl.
