ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

DUCK END LANE, WILSTEAD 25 – 086

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Duck End Lane, Wilstead.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate cabling works and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:30 to 15:30 hours from 17th November 2025 to 17th November 2025

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

PARK ROAD, STEVINGTON 25 – 085

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Park Road, Stevington.

This temporary road closure is required to repair a manhole and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:00 to 15:30 hours 12th November 2025

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Park Road, Church Lane, Lovell Road, Station Road, Pavenham Road, Bedford Road, East End, High Street, West End, Court Lane.

The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Bedford Road, Kempston Junction with Halsey Road side of Addison Park.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate remedial reinstatement and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:30 to 15:00 hours from 2nd December 2025 to 3rd December 2025

QUENBY WAY, BROMHAM 25 – 082

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Quenby Way, Bromham from Stagsden road to Mayhew Close including the junctions of Jackman Close, Brett Drive, Symonds Close.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate re surface carriageway and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:00 to 15:30 hours from 3rd December 2025 to 18th December 2025

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL PROPOSE TO  EXTEND THE EXISTING 30MPH SPEED LIMIT ONOLDWAYS ROAD, RAVENSDEN

Reason for Proposal:

Following a request from Ravensden Parish Council, Bedford Borough Council proposes to extend the 30mph speed limit in Oldways Road, Ravensden.

Effect of the Order:

1. To extend the 30mph speed limit on the following length of road:A Oldways Road, Ravensden

(i)   Extending from a point approx. 76 metres in a south easterly direction from the junction of Oldways Road with Bedford Road, Ravensden, for a distance of approx. 135 metres in a south easterly direction.

Relevant proposal documents may be examined during normal office hours at Borough Hall, Cauldwell Street, Bedford, MK42 9AP. They will also be available for viewing on the council’s website at www.bedford.gov.uk/proposedtro. The documents will be placed on deposit until 6 weeks after the Order is made or until it is decided not to continue with the proposal.
