What is happening?

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Hurn Road, Marholm Ref: 26-189
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Hurn Road, Marholm, as lies between Gatehouse Farm and dead end. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. There is no alternative route for vehicles affected by this order. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/11/2025 and will continue until the access to underground structure and cabling works have been completed or until the 09/11/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 10/11/2025 and the 11/11/2025. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Norfolk Street Ref: 26-190
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Norfolk Street, at its junction with Cromwell Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Lincoln Road, Cobden Avenue, Cromwell Road, Taverners Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 11/11/2025 and will continue until the electrical works have been completed or until the 10/11/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 11/11/2025 and the 14/11/2025. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are detailed in the schedule. Works will be phased and signed on site. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/11/2025 and will continue until the resurfacing and associated works have been completed or until the 09/11/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight only between 10/11/2025 and 22/11/2025. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Clarence Road, as lies between Searjeant Street and 250 Clarence Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Clarence Road, English Street, Bourges Boulevard, Searjeant Street and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/11/2025 and will continue until the new equipment and duct works have been completed or until the 09/11/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 10/11/2025 and the 21/11/2025. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Maxey Road, Helpston Ref: 26-185
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Maxey Road, Helpston as lies between points 20 metres either side of Maxey Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via B1443 Glinton Rd, Helpston Rd, A15, Maxey Rd, High St and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 08/11/2025 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 07/11/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 23:00 and 09:00 on the 08/11/2025 and 09/11/2025. Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Uffington Road, Barnack Ref: 26-194
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Uffington Road, Barnack, as lies between The Orchard and the sewerage works. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: B1443, Tallington Road, Bainton Road, A1175, Barnack Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 17/11/2025 and will continue until the new duct installation works have been completed or until the 16/11/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 08:00 and 18:00 from the 17/11/2025 to the 20/11/2025.
