What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(STATION ROAD, LIDLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends

not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Station Road, Lidlington from number 2A to number 8.

This temporary closure is required to enable blockage clearance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 27 November 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via Sheeptick End, Bedford Road, A507, High Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 27 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

NOTICE OF CERTIFICATION

Notice is hereby given that the works required to divert part of Public Footpath No. 6, Ampthill have been completed in accordance with the requirements of Article 2 of the above Order, which was confirmed by Central Bedfordshire Council on 24 October 2025. The section of Public Footpath No. 6, Ampthill described in Article 1 of the above Order is consequently extinguished as from 31 October 2025.
