(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Pembrokeshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The proposed Order is necessary so that Telecom overhead and underground cabling works can be carried out.

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic other than exempted vehicles from proceeding along that section of Unclassified (U6340) road nr Hodgeston – from its junction with the A4139 Lamphey to Penally road, south then west to a point near the property known as Holly Lake.

It is intended that the restrictions, which will be signed accordingly, will come into effect on Thursday 20th November 2025 for approximately 7 days between 09:30hrs–15:00hrs.

These works will be carried out on a rolling programme to minimise disruption. The alternative route for traffic will be via the A4139 Penally to Lamphey road, B4584 Freshwater East Road, Portclew Road, Jason Road and U6340.

The Order will remain valid for a maximum period of 18 months as a contingency should the works need to be rescheduled or in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.

Rhoddir rhybudd drwy hyn fod Cyngor Sir Penfro yn bwriadu, nid lai na saith diwrnod o ddyddiad yr hysbysiad hwn, gwneud gorchymyn dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 fel y’i diwygiwyd gan Ddeddf Traffig Ffyrdd (Cyfyngiadau Dros Dro) 1991.

Mae’r gorchymyn arfaethedig yn angenrheidiol er mwyn gallu gwneud gwaith gosod cebl teleffonau uwchben ac o dan y ddaear.

Effaith y gorchymyn fydd gwahardd dros dro yr holl draffig cerbydau ac eithrio cerbydau esempt rhag symud ar hyd yr rhan honno o’r ffordd ddiddosbarth (yr U6340) ger Hodgeston – o’i chyffordd a’r ffordd A4139 o Landyfai i Benalun, i’r de yna i’r gorllewin i bwynt ger y eiddo a elwir yn Holly Lake.

Y bwriad yw y bydd y cyfyngiadau, a fydd yn cael eu dangos gan arwyddion ffordd, yn dod i rym dydd Iau, 20 Tachwedd 2025 am oddeutu saith diwrnod rhwng 9.30am a 3.00pm.

Bydd y gwaith yn cael ei wneud ar raglen dreigl er mwyn tarfu cyn lleied â phosibl. Y llwybr arall ar gyfer traffig fydd ar hyd ffordd yr A4139 Penalun i Landyfai, ffordd y B4584 Freshwater East, Heol Portclew, Heol Jason a’r ffordd U6340.

Bydd y gorchymyn yn parhau i fod yn ddilys am uchafswm o 18 mis fel cynllun wrth gefn pe bai angen aildrefnu’r gwaith, neu os bydd unrhyw amgylchiadau annisgwyl.
