What is happening?

PROPOSED 20MPH SPEED LIMIT EXTENSION & TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES – BOUNDS GREEN ROAD

**The Haringey (Moving Traffic Restrictions) (Amendment No. **) Order 202

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey proposes to make the above mentioned Order under sections 84 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and under section 90a and 90c of the Highways Act 1980 and the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 to introduce raised speed tables on Bounds Green Road N11/N22.

The general effect of order will be to implement a 20mph Speed Limit on the lengths of road detailed below:

Road Description
Bounds Green Road N11/N22 From a point approximately 22 metres south from the junction with Braemar Avenue continuing northwest to the boundary with the London Borough of Enfield (A406).

Raised speed tables will also be introduced on Bounds Green Road with the centre of the tables at the following approximate locations (these will be the full width of the carriageway unless otherwise stated and a maximum height of 100mm):

1. Opposite No.75/76 Tewkesbury Terrace on Bounds Green Road N11, a length of approximately 10 metres (with drainage channel either side).

2. Opposite No.62/63 Tewkesbury Terrace on Bounds Green Road N11 (on existing signalised crossing), a length of approximately 17 metres.

3. Opposite No.4 The Drive on Bounds Green Road N11, a length of approximately 12 metres (with drainage channel either side).

4. Opposite No.14-19 Warwick Court on Bounds Green Road N11 (on existing signalised crossing), a length of approximately 19 metres.

5. Outside No.89 Bounds Green Road N22 (on existing signalised crossing), a length of approximately 16 metres.

A copy of the proposed Orders, a copy of this notice, a copy of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the proposed Orders and plan(s) showing the locations and effects of the Orders can be viewed via the online consultation portal https://consultation.appyway.com/haringey. Alternatively, an appointment can be made, by emailing traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk to inspect these documents during normal office hours at the reception desk of Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR. Appointments to inspect the documents will be available until the end of a period of 6 weeks beginning with the date on which this notice is published.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders or make other representation should send grounds for their objection via the online portal https://consultation.appyway.com/haringey or alternatively email traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk or write to Traffic Management Group, Alexandra House, 4th floor, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR quoting reference 2025-T30, by 26th November 2025.
