Broomburn Drive, Temporary Road Closure Due To Junction Works

(Broomburn Drive, Newton Mearns) Temporary Restriction To Use Of Road Order 2025
On the 31st October 2025 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order authorises to restrict vehicular access on a section of Broomburn Drive (from the service road in front of shops to the service lane behind shops), Newton Mearns, in order to facilitate the safe operation of junction improvement works scheduled to be carried from Monday 17th November to Thursday 27th November 2025.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Diversion route: Mearns Road - Blackhouse Road - Broomfield Avenue - Broomburn Drive and Vice Versa.
