THE GLA ROADS AND GLA SIDE ROADS (BANNED MOVEMENTS) TRAFFIC ORDER 2024 THE A205 GLA SIDE ROAD TORRIDON ROAD, LONDON BOROUGH OF LEWISHAM VARIATION ORDER 2025
- Transport for London, hereby gives notice that on 28th October 2025 it made the above named order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
- The GLA Roads And GLA Side Roads (Banned Movements) Traffic Order 2024 The A205 GLA Side Road Torridon Road, London Borough of Lewisham, Experimental Variation Order 2024 ("the experimental Order") was made under section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and came into force on 10th May 2024
- The general nature and effect of the experimental Order was to:
(1) prohibit any vehicle travelling northwards on Torridon Road from turning left into Brownhill Road;
(2) prohibit any vehicle travelling southwards on Torridon Road from turning right into Brownhill Road.
- Transport for London has carefully considered whether or not the provisions of the experimental Order should be continued indefinitely and has decided that they should be so continued.
- Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on Local Authorities’ by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and in accordance with regulation 23 of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, Transport for London has made The GLA Road and GLA Side Roads (Banned Movements) Traffic Order 2024 The A205 GLA Side Road Torridon Road, London Borough Of Lewisham Variation Order 2025 ("the permanent Order").
- That Order will come into force on 6th November 2025, and the effect of that Order will be to continue in force indefinitely the provisions of the experimental Order.
- The road affected by the permanent Order is the A205 GLA Side Road - Torridon Road in London Borough of Lewisham.
- A copy of the permanent Order, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and a copy of the experimental Order can be inspected by visiting our website at https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/tro and selecting the relevant borough and reference the Traffic Order relates to or by appointment at our offices at the address below by emailing trafficordersection@tfl.gov.uk.

Please note access to post may be restricted and requests for documents may be delayed.
- Any person wishing to question the validity of the permanent Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which that Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
