Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Downside Road, Backwell, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 26 November 2025

Ref: SW25.26-200

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid for pole changes. This order will become operative on the 26 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

West End Lane, Nailsea, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 12 January 2026

Ref: SW25.26-203

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water for lead pipe replacement. This order will become operative on the 12 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Moor Lane, Clapton Lane, Clapton-in-Gordano, Bristol (Portishead), North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 22 January 2026

Ref: SW25.26-206

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for pole testing. This order will become operative on the 22 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. The commencement dates of the phase closures are approximate and subject to the progression of the works. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule (in phases) – Moor Lane 10m from junction with Clapton Lane for approximately 35m. Access will be maintained for residents. Clapton Lane from outside Sperrings Farm to junction with Maysfield Close.

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Roath Road, Portishead, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 23 November 2025

Ref: SW25.26-169

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for a new pole. This order will become operative on the 23 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 10am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Roath Road from property number 1 for 15m towards the junction with High Street.

Church Road, Winford, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 19 November 2025

Ref: SW25.26-188

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to replace stop tap. This order will become operative on the 19 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
