PUBLIC NOTICE

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(THORNEYCROFT LANE) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Thorneycroft Lane in both directions from outside properties 37 to 55.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 15 November 2025 until 16 November 2025.
The diversion route is: Prestwood Road West, Amos Lane, Wood End Road, Lichfield Road, Neachells Lane, Alfred Squire Road, High Street, Rookery Street, Wolverhampton Road, Wednesfield Way, Tudor Road, Bushbury Road or Bushbury Road, Church Street, Wolverhampton Road, Rookery Street, High Street, Alfred Squire Road, Neachells Lane, Lichfield Road, Wood End Road, Amos Lane, Prestwood Road West.
The Order is required to facilitate Long Comm Pipe Renew works by Severn Trent Water.
