What is happening?

NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNCIL

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Rear of Londesborough Road, Scarborough, Order 2025, No. 415 We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Rear of Londesborough Road, Scarborough for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 10/11/25 & 21/11/25, due to Fuse upgrade works / potential danger to the public, excavation to locate cable, including 4 low voltage joint bays in footway, 75m of open trench in footway & 6m road crossing to joint new cable. However, the max duration of this Order is until 10/04/26. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Parking, Temporary Taxi Rank - Hanover Road & Westborough, Scarborough, Order 2025 No 446 We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from parking on the named streets in Scarborough for a temporary period from 21/10/25 to 19/04/27, to allow for a Temporary Taxi Rank for use by taxis only. Hanover Road - adjacent to theatre for the first 27 metres - suspension of parking bay. Westborough between the entrance & exits of the station car park - suspension of 'no waiting' restriction. To allow continued taxi provision while works are undertaken at Scarborough Station. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 10/11/25 until 19/04/27 inclusive. The restriction period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs. This restriction follows an emergency closure order number 179 which commenced on 20/10/25.
