Eastfield Road, Sheffield - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) and Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 (SI 1992/1215)
Eastfield Road (Prohibition of Vehicles & Pedestrians) Order 2025 (“the Order”)
1. Sheffield City Council makes the Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 and any other enabling powers over an area of the highway being the full extent of Eastfield Road from Northfield Road.
2. The Order is needed because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said highway.
3. If the Order is made, the Order will come into operation on 27 November 2025 and shall remain in force until the aforementioned works are completed as Sheffield City Council is satisfied that the execution of the works will take longer than 18 months. The restriction specified will only have effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of notices.
4. While the Order is in operation: it will prohibit any person from allowing any vehicle to proceed in the areas of highway as described in paragraph 1 of the Order. The Order will also prohibit any pedestrian from travelling in the lengths of footway as included within the areas of highway as described in paragraph 1 of the Order.
