What is happening?

SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14(2) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING NOTICE 2025

Notice is hereby given that, as from the date of this Notice for up to a period of 21 days there will be a Temporary Prohibition of Driving on:

(i) Public footpath ref. B30 south of Wollaston Way, Hebburn across the level crossing for a
distance of 30 metres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic whilst the temporary prohibition is in operation will
be indicated by signage,

The temporary prohibition is to enable Network Rail to assess health and safety concerns on
the level crossing on public footpath ref. B.30.

The works will be undertaken from 3 November 2025 and are expected to take 21 days to
complete.
