THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
PART OF BOTH GREEN LANE AND ROWLANDHALL LANE, NEWSHOLME
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along part of both Green Lane and Rowlandhall Lane, Newsholme from a point 300 metres north of the junction with Main Street northbound for a distance of approximately 1150 metres to Damson Cottage commencing 27 November 2025 until 28 November 2025. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed Rowlandhall Lane, Wressle excavation to install approximately 1350 metres of telecom ducting to link into the existing apparatus as part of the larger fibre to the home scheme works,
to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed within two days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Green Lane, Main Road, A63 Hull Road, Station Road, Cross Common Lane and Rowlandhall Lane, Wressle CP, Howdenshire Ward. The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
The Order will commence 27 November 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
