Various Roads in Potten End & Hemel Hempstead - Temporary Road Closures & Waiting Restrictions

What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2021

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on these lengths of roads whilst works are in progress:-

1.  the north east side of Gadebridge Road and the north west side of Clover Way, Hemel Hempstead from a point 54m south east of its junction with Catkin Close south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 70 m.

2.   the north east side of Gadebridge Road and the south east side of Clover Way, Hemel Hempstead from a point 76m south east of its junction with Catkin Close north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 15 m.

The Order is needed to allow access for construction traffic on the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN POTTEN END AND HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1.   that length of Plough Lane, Potten End from its junction with Vicarage Road north eastwards to its junction with Homefield, a distance of approximately 115 m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2.   that length of Homefield, Potten End from its junction with Plough Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 60 m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3.   that length of Vicarage Road/The Front, Potten End from its junction with Vicarage Gardens south eastwards to its junctions with Water End Road, a distance of approximately 265m. An alternative route will be via Vicarage Road, Nettleden Road, The Common and Water End Road.

4.  that length of Bury Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road south westwards, north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
