What is happening?

 THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 SEAVY ROAD, GOOLE

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding on foot/whether on foot, pedal cycle or on horseback along Seavy Road, Goole. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed carriageway maintenance works to be carried out from 3 November 2025 until 12 December 2025. The road will be closed at all times to allow for carriageway maintenance works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within 36 days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Andersen Road, Rawcliffe Road, Boothferry Road, Dunhill Road and Grange Road, Goole CP, Goole South Ward, Goole North Ward.

The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.

The Order will commence 3 November 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
