Steeple Claydon / Aylesbury Vale / Thornton / Wing - Temporary Traffic Prohibitions
What is happening?
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL
THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE
(North End Rd, Steeple Claydon) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in North End Rd for approx. 78M. Alternative route: Herds Hill, Buckingham Rd, Sandholme, Queen Catherine Rd, Chaloners Hill, West St, North End Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst installing new pole and telecoms mast commence on 24 November 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 24 November 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
(Various Rds, Aylesbury Vale) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in the below rds. London Rd, Bourton Rd, Chandos Rd, Buckingham: Hampden Rd, Aylesbury. PLEASE NOTE: The full duration of this multi-order is to allow coordination of a number of works, and flexibility given their weather dependant nature. The actual times that each road will be closed for will be much less than this and could be either day or night works only. The full details will be publicised on one.network when confirmed, with signs on the affected road erected two weeks before the closure. The closure is required whilst carriageway micro-surfacing works commence on 6 January 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 6 January 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
(College Ln, Thornton) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in College Ln for approx. 575M. Alternative route: College Ln, Stratford Rd, Buckingham Ring Rd East, Buckingham Ring Rd, Bletchley Rd, High St, Lower End, Thornborough Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst culvert works commence on 21 November 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 21 November 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
(Stewkley Rd, Wing) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Stewkley Rd for approx. 126M. Alternative route: Stewkley Rd, Cublington Rd, Wing Rd, High St, Whitchurch Rd, Bushmead Rd, Buckingham Rd, Dunton Rd, Main Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Anglian Water new connection works commence on 17 November 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
