What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Scotchman Lane, Main Street & Rice Lane, Flaxton, Order 2025, No. 413
We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Scotchman Lane, Main Street & Rice Lane, Flaxton for a temporary period of 2 weeks (subject to access to premises) between 10/11/25 & 26/12/25, due to works. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment No Tbc, Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend "North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Ryedale) Consolidation Order 2013" by introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:-
Table - Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking Roads In the Town of Malton
Residential access road off Town Street, West side from a point 29 metres south of the centreline of its junction with the road from Town Street to the Cemetery, to a point 73 metres south of the centreline of its junction with the road from Town Street to the Cemetery. Residential access road off Town Street, East side from a point 35 metres south of the centreline of its junction with the road from Town Street to the Cemetery, to a point 50 metres south of the centreline of its junction with the road from Town Street to the Cemetery.
A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Malton Library, Michael Street, Malton, Y017 7LJ during normal office hours from 05/11/25 to 26/11/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing, addressed to Area 4 Kirby Misperton Highways Office, Beansheaf Industrial Park, Tofts Road, Kirby Misperton, Malton, North Yorkshire Y017 6BG or by email to Area4.Kirbymisperton@northyorks.gov.uk or via the website link above by 26/11/25.
