Eskdale Green, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C4026 ESKDALE GREEN) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C4026 Eskdale Green, from its junction with the C4030, extending in a south easterly direction for approx 580m, to its junction with the U4410.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C4026, C4028, Duddon Bridge to Whicham, A595, Bootle and the C4025, Santon Bridge.

The Order will come into operation on 24 November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day between 0900 and 1600 hours, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
