What is happening?

Lion Lane (D5511) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
On 05 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lion Lane (D5511) Haslemere as extends from its junction with (A287) Hindhead Road to its junction with (D5512) Cherry Tree Avenue. Alternative Route: Lion Lane; (B2131) Lion Green, (B2131) Junction Place, (B2131) Hindhead Road, (A287) Hindhead Road, and Lion Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate underground cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 2.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 November 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Simmondstone Lane (D125) Churt Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Simmondstone Lane (D125) Churt Farnham as extends from the access for the property known as “Snow’s Cottage” to the access for the property known as “Symondstone Cottage”.

Alternative route – Wishanger Lane, Bacon Lane, Churt Road, Barford Lane, A287 (Crossways and Churt Road), Lampard Lane and Simmondstone Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Barr Engineering Services Limited to facilitate installation of a new pole in the verge and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 December 2025 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Critchmere Lane (D5508) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Critchmere Lane (D5508) Haslemere as extends from its junction with (X83005) Manor Crescent to its junction with (D5509) Border Road. Alternative Route: Critchmere Lane, Critchmere Hill, (A287) Hindhead Road, (A287) Church Road, (B2131) Liphook Road, and Critchmere Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 7 months, between the hours of 10pm and 6am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 December 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Manley Bridge Road (D5302) Wrecclesham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Manley Bridge Road (D5302) Wrecclesham as extends from its junction with (B3384) Echo Barn Lane and for a distance of 155 metres in a southerly direction along Manley Bridge Road. Alternative Route: (B3384) Echo Barn Lane, Sandrock Hill Road, Boundstone Road, and Manley Bridge Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of South East Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 December 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Station Hill (B3001) and Waverley Lane (B3001) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Hill (B3001) Farnham and Waverley Lane (B3001) Farnham that is comprised within the level crossing and for a distance of 20 meters to either side. Alternative Routes – Station Hill; South Street; A287 Union Road/Long Bridge/Bridge Square/Firgrove Hill; Old Farnham Lane; Great Austins; and Tilford Road. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 3 December 2025 is required to facilitate barrier inspection works and/or level crossing inspection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out in two phases. Phase 1 to be completed over 1 night between the hours of 12am and 5.30am commencing 3 December 2025 and Phase 2 to be completed over 1 night between the hours of 1am and 5am commencing 08 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed. and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site. All other traffic, including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

D154 Prestwick Lane, Grayswood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D154 Prestwick Lane, Grayswood which extends from the northern property boundary of “Burnside” to the southern property boundary of “Willowdene”. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate capital safety defect works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 November 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Alternative Route – D154 Prestwick Lane, D157 Pook Hill, D157 West End Lane, D157 Killinghurst Lane, B2131 Petworth Road, D5528 Holdfast Lane, D5228 Clammer Hill Road and D154 Prestwick Lane.
