Suffolk – Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works and Cabling Operations

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1501 BANHAM ROAD, BECCLES

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U1501 Banham Road, Beccles from 30 metres south of the junction with Coney Hill for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a water meter replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Banham Road, Duke Street, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Coney Hill and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/11/2025 - 07/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF NO LEFT TURN

ON PART OF THE B1115 STATION ROAD WEST, TAVERN STREET

AND FINBOROUGH ROAD AND THE U5439 MARKET PLACE, STOWMARKET

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

• B1115 Station Road West, Stowmarket.

• B1115 Tavern Street, Stowmarket

• B1115 Finborough Road, Stowmarket from Tavern Street to Iliffe Way.

This is to facilitate a water pipe repair. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1308, Bury Road, Chilton Way, Onehouse Road and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the no left turn provision on the U4539 Market Place, Stowmarket to allow access and egress.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 2pm on 04/11/2025 to 6am on 05/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C756 COURT STREET, NAYLAND WITH WISSINGTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C756 Court Street, Nayland with Wissington from no. 20 - no. 17 to facilitate overhead cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Mill Street, the B1087, the A134, Horkesley Road, Cutt Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 13/11/2025 from 8am - 6pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
