TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF THE SQUARE ACCESS ROAD
TO SHOPS, STAMFORD BRIDGE

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along part of The Square Access Road to Shops,
Stamford Bridge encompasing property no’s 4 to 14
commencing 1 December 2025

21.00 hours until
2 December 2025

06.00 hours for the purpose of
safe access to underground structure to lay
ducting work.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for
18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within nine hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via: The Square Access Road to Shops,
A166 The Square (traffic lights to be used on this road),
Stamford Bridge CP, Pocklington Provincial Ward. The
diversion route will be signed at the time of closure.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access
will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles
and pedestrians.
