NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

The Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the County of Lancashire
ADDITION OF BRIDLEWAY FROM BANNISTER LANE TO MOSS LANE ADJACENT TO FLENSBURG WAY, FARINGTON (Definitive Map Modification) Order 2025
The above Order, made on the 22nd October 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the area, by adding a bridleway from the open junction on Bannister Lane extending in a northerly direction running parallel to Flensburg Way along a farm access track to the open junction with Moss Lane southwest of the roundabout where Flensburg Way meets Penwortham Way.
A copy of the Order and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at the offices of South Ribble Borough Council, and at my offices from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.00. A copy of the Order and map may be found and downloaded free from our website at

Any representations about, or objections to the Order may be sent in writing by email to
francesca.jackson1@lancashire.gov.uk
or by letter to Francesca Jackson, Lancashire County Council, PO Box 100, County Hall, Preston, PR1 0LD (REF: LSG4/888.2491/FJ4) not later than the 17th December 2025 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which they are made.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, Lancashire County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State for the Environment, may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
