What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(GREAT BRICKKILN STREET) (TEMPORARY

PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:

· Great Brickkiln Street closed in both directions at its junction with Elis Mattu Avenue.

· Elis Mattu Avenue closed in both directions at its junction with Great Brickkiln Street.

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken on 14 November 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30.

The diversion route is: Penn Road Island, Ring Road, Chapel Ash, Merridale Road, Aspen Way and vice versa.

The Order is required to facilitate the replacement of a manhole frame by Severn Trent Water.
