Drain Lane, Holme Upon Spalding Moor - Temporary Traffic Regulation

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
PART OF DRAIN LANE,
HOLME UPON SPALDING MOOR
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed/proceeding along part
of Drain Lane, Holme Upon Spalding Moor from a
point 600 metres from its junction with Bursea Lane
north west bound for approximately
250 metres commencing 21 November 2025 until
29 November 2025.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
Drain Lane, Holme Upon Spalding Moor undertaking
bell mouth construction for the EGL2 power scheme
works, to be carried out and completed in a manner
consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed
within nine days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via: Drain Lane, A614 Howden Road, Bursea Lane,
Holme upon Spalding Moor CP, Howdenshire Ward
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access
will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles
and pedestrians.
The Order will commence 21 November 2025 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months
or until the works which it is proposed to carry out
have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
