What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford has made under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (CLARENCE STREET PHASE 2) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025.
The Order will introduce a road closure on Clarence Street, Salford, M7 1WP, outside Empyrean Block 1, 2, and 3 apartment buildings. The Order is necessary to carry out repairs to the apartment buildings. The order is due to come into operation on Monday 17th November 2025 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 5th December 2025. The diversion routes are via Clarence Street - Lower Broughton Road - Camp Street - Lord Street - Ascension Road - Clarence Street, vice versa. A copy of the Order and plans of the area may be requested by contacting Salford City Council Street Works team via the email street.works@salford.gov.uk or the postal address below:
