What is happening?

WATTON – 1) U33001 Church Road from 32m east of its junction with 3R1142 Watton Footpath 8 for 100m eastwards and

2) U33001 Church Road from 132m east of its junction with 3R1142 Watton Footpath 8 to its junction with 3R1145 Watton RB12 to facilitate installation works for new laybys from 3rd to 14th November 2025 only whilst signs indicate closures are in place (may continue until 26th December 2025). NB – These closures will not be in place at the same time. Road A is anticipated to be closed from 3rd to 10th November, and Road B is anticipated to be closed from 10th to 14th November. Alternative route is via: B1108 Norwich Road, 31382 Harwood Road, 33030 Watton Green, 33001 Town Green Road/Church Road and vice versa. The works promoter is PBR Construction.

WRETHAM – East Wretham Road from 1100m west of its junction with Cricket Ground Road for 100m westwards to facilitate safe access for pole testing work between 09:30 and 15:30 on 3rd November 2025 (may continue until 15th December 2025). Alternative route is via: C107 The Street/Croxton Road, A1066 Mundford Road, A1075 Norwich Road/Thetford Road (Croxton, Wretham, Bridgham, Kilverstone, Thetford, Roudham and Larling). The works promoter is BT.

CRIMPLESHAM – Stow Barn Road from its junction with A1122 Downham Road for 300m northwards to facilitate HRA repair works from 3rd to 4th November 2025 (may continue until 16th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Downham Road, Fincham Road, Stow Barn Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GRIMSTON – C56 Chapel Road from 40m north of its junction with U22106 Cliffe-en-Howe Road for 40m northwards to facilitate new water connection works from 3rd to 7th November 2025 (may continue until 19th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Chapel Road, Long Lane, Gayton Road, Lynn Road (Roydon, Congham, Grimston). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

HOLME-NEXT-THE-SEA – U22152 Peddars Way from 140m north of its junction with A149 Main Road for 50m northwards to facilitate sewer connection installation works from 3rd to 5th November 2025 (may continue until 21st December 2025). Alternative route is via: Peddars Way, Main Road, Eastgate, Kirkgate. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

KING’S LYNN – U25016 Tower Street from its junction with U24027 Blackfriars Street for 30m southwards to facilitate water box exchange works between 08:00 and 16:00 on 4th November 2025 (may continue until 5th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Tower Street, Tuesday Market Pl, St James Road, Blackfriars Street. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

KING’S LYNN – C545 Millfleet from its junction with A148 London Road for 60m westwards to facilitate monitor installation in manhole works between 20:00 and 02:00 from 6th to 7th November 2025 (may continue until 9th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Millfleet, Stonegate Street, Church Street, Blackfriars Street, South Quay, King’s Staithe Square, Purfleet Place, King Street, Tuesday Market Place, St Nicholas Street, St Anns Street, North Street, John Kennedy Road, Austin Street, Blackfriars Road, St James Road, London Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

KING’S LYNN – Low Road from its junction with Thiefgate Lane to its junction with High Road to facilitate concrete splinter island relaying and rekerbing works from 3rd to 7th November 2025 (may continue until 19th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Low Road, High Road Roundabout, High Road (King’s Lynn, Wiggenhall St. Germans). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

KING’S LYNN – C544 Chapel Street from its junction with C544 St Nicholas Street for 30m south-eastwards to facilitate gas leak repair works between 19:00 and 07:00 from 7th to 8th November 2025 (may continue until 20th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Austin Street, John Kennedy Road, North Street, St Anns Street. The works promoter is Cadent.

METHWOLD – Globe Street from 240m north of its junction with High Street for 30m northwards to facilitate ferule repair works from 4th to 6th November 2025 (may continue until 18th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Globe Street, High Street, Crown Street, Hythe Road, Methwold Road, Severalls Road, Thornham Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

MIDDLETON – Mill Drove from its junction with East Winch Road for 445m southwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 3rd to 4th November 2025 (may continue until 16th December 2025). Alternative route is via: East Winch Road, Sandy Lane, Wormegay Road, Mill Drove. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

WATLINGTON – U21320 Mill Road from its junction with C53 Stowbridge Bridge Road for 335m northwards to facilitate carriageway works from 3rd November to 12th December 2025 (may continue until 12th June 2026). Alternative route is via: U21326 Station Road, Downham Road, Church Road, Mill Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a footpath or other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
