Loddon - Amendment to Prohibition of Waiting Order

What is happening?

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

(LODDON, HIGH BUNGAY ROAD AND LEMAN GROVE)

(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) AMENDMENT ORDER 2025

The Norfolk County Council has made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the 28th October 2025, which comes into effect on 3rd November 2025. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting at any time along the following lengths of road which are subject to the prohibition of waiting at any time:

a. C395/54 High Bungay Road (West Side):

i. from its junction with the U75603/20 Leman Grove southwards for 74 metres.

ii. from its junction with the U75603/20 Leman Grove northwards for 215 metres.

iii. from a point 29 metres north of its junction with U7P433 Kings Wood northwards for 40 metres.

b. C395/54 High Bungay Road (East Side):

i. from its junction with the U76501/10 Davy Place southwards for 140 metres.

ii. from its junction with the U76501/10 Davy Place northwards for 55 metres to its junction with U71241/10 Beech Close.

iii. from 105 metres south of its junction with the C203 Kittens Lane southwards for 23 metres.

c. U71241/10 Beech Close (Both Sides) from its junction with the C395 High Bungay Road eastwards for 11 metres.

d. U76501/10 Davy Place (Both Sides) from its junction with the C395 High Bungay Road eastwards for 9 metres.

e. U75603/20 Leman Grove (Both Sides) from its junction with the C395/54 High Bungay Road westwards for 11 metres.

The Norfolk County Council (Loddon, Various Roads) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2014 (hereinafter the “2014 Order”) will be amended to include in Schedule 1 the lengths of the roads, deleting Schedule 2 in its entirety, and by deleting Article 3.1 (1)(i) of the 2014 Order.

. Copies may also be requested for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich and the offices of South Norfolk District Council, The Horizon Centre, Broadland Way, Broadland Business Park, Norwich, during normal office hours. Online viewing is recommended.

Any person who considers that they are prejudiced by the above Order and who wishes to question the validity of the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers granted by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 28th October 2025 make application to the High Court.
