HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGH STREET AND PARSONAGE ROAD, RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. That length of High Street, Rickmansworth from its junction with Wensum Way north eastwards and eastwards for a distance of approximately 132m.
An alternative route will be via Wensum Way, A404 Riverside Drive, Church Street and High Street.
2. That length of Parsonage Road, Rickmansworth from its junction with Rectory Lane south eastwards to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 44m.
An alternative route will be via Parsonage Road, A412 Rectory Road, Wensum Way and High Street.
The Order is needed because ducting works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN A41 TYLERS WAY, WATFORD) ORDER NO.2 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the northbound carriageway of A41 Tylers Way, Watford from its junction with the A411 Elstree Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with Dagger Lane, a distance of approximately 285m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A411 (Elstree Road/Sparrows Herne/High Street/London Road/Chalk Hill/Lower High Road/Waterfields Way), A4008 Stephenson Way and A41 (North Western Avenue/Tylers Way/Tylers Way).
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VALE ROAD, BUSHEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Vale Road, Bushey from its junction with B462 Aldenham Road eastwards to its junction with A411 London Road, a distance of approximately 308m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B462 Aldenham Road, Hillside Road, Grange Road and A411 London Road or via B462 Aldenham Road, A411 Chalk Hill and A411 London Road.
The Order is needed because remedial works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE NORTH EAST SIDE OF NO.28 CAISHOWE ROAD, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the north east side of No.28 Caishowe Road, Borehamwood from its junction with Caishowe Road south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Bracken Close, a distance of approximately 101m (“the Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south west side of Caishowe Road, the footway situated on the west side of Oddesey Road, the footway situated on the north west side of Harredon Road and the footway situated on the north east side of Bracken Close.
The Order is needed because the demolition of existing derelict garages is proposed to be executed near the Footpath.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 November 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN WATFORD) ORDER NO.4 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the access road leading from ‘Wiggenhall Industrial Estate’ into Thomas Sawyer Way, Watford whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via Thomas Sawyer Way, A4178 (Wiggenhall Road/Farraline Road/Fearnley Street/The Hornets/Merton Road/Wiggenhall Road) and Thomas Sawyer Way.
2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Thomas Sawyer Way into the access road leading to ‘Wiggenhall Industrial Estate’, Watford whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via Thomas Sawyer Way, the Shrodells Road roundabout and Thomas Sawyer Way.
3. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the access road leading from ‘Trade City Watford’, Watford into Thomas Sawyer Way, whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via Thomas Sawyer Way (westbound), the Shrodells Road roundabout and Thomas Sawyer Way.
4. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Thomas Sawyer Way into the access road leading to ‘Trade City Watford’, Watford whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via Thomas Sawyer Way, A4178 (Wiggenhall Road/Farraline Road/Fearnley Street/The Hornets/Merton Road/Wiggenhall Road) and Thomas Sawyer Way.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Street, Rickmansworth from its junction with Northway south eastwards to its junction with Norfolk Road, a distance of approximately 162m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Northway, Station Road, Homestead Road, A412 (Park Road/Rectory Road), A404 Riverside Drive and Church Street or via Church Street, A404 Riverside Drive, Wensum Way and High Street.
The Order is needed because sewer cleaning works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SANDY LANE, NORTHWOOD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sandy Lane, Northwood from its junction with Seven Acres north westwards for a distance of approximately 140m (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

1. That length of Rowley Close, Watford from its junction with Lower Paddock Road north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. That length of Harewood Road, South Oxhey from its junction with Gosforth Lane north westwards to its junction with Hayling Road, a distance of approximately 176m.
An alternative route will be via Gosforth Lane, Harrogate Road and Hayling Road.
3. That length of Eastbury Road, Northwood from its junction with Batchworth Lane south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Eastbury Avenue, a distance of approximately 380m.
An alternative route will be via Batchworth Lane, Davenham Avenue, Eastbury Avenue and Eastbury Road.
4. That length of St Marys Avenue, Northwood from its junction with Batchworth Lane south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Eastbury Road, a distance of approximately 397m.
An alternative route will be via Batchworth Lane, Davenham Avenue, Eastbury Avenue and Eastbury Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING RESTRICTIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS IN WATFORD DURING THE ‘CASSIOBURY PARK FIREWORKS DISPLAY’) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicles from waiting, loading and unloading at any time on both sides of the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), whilst signs are in place:-
1. That length of Cassiobury Park Avenue, Watford from its junction with A412 Rickmansworth Road north westwards to its junction with Gade Avenue, a distance of approximately 1014m.
2. That length of Coningsby Drive, Watford from its junction with Langley Way north westwards for its entire length.
3. That length of Gade Avenue, Watford from its junction with A412 Rickmansworth Road north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length.
4. That length of Langley Way, Watford from its junction with the Cassiobury Drive roundabout south westwards to its junction with Parkside Drive, a distance of approximately 379m.
5. That length of Oak View, Watford from its junction with Gade Avenue westwards, north eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.
6. That length of Metropolitan Station Approach, Watford from its junction with A412 Rickmansworth Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 256m.
7. That length of Parkside Drive, Watford from its junction with Langley Way south eastwards to its junction with The Gardens, a distance of approximately 500m.
8. That length of Shepherds Road, Watford from its junction with A412 Rickmansworth Road north westwards for its entire length.
9. That length of Swiss Avenue, Watford from its junction with Gade Avenue north eastwards to its junction with Cassiobury Park Avenue, a distance of approximately 318 metres.
10. That length of Swiss Close, Watford from its junction with Swiss Avenue north westwards and clockwise for its entire length.
The Order is needed to ensure public safety and prevent traffic congestion for the duration of the ‘Cassiobury Park Fireworks Display’.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cassiobury Drive, Watford from a point 45m north west of its junction with Bellmount Wood Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because gas connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
