What is happening?

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

(REDENHALL WITH HARLESTON, VARIOUS ROADS)

(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) AMENDMENT ORDER 2025

The Norfolk County Council has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 27th October 2025, and which comes into operation on 4th November 2025.

The effect of this Order is to amend The Norfolk County Council (Redenhall with Harleston, Various Roads) (Prohibition of Waiting) Consolidation and Variation Order 2011 (the “2011 Order”) to:

a) extend the existing prohibition of waiting at any time restrictions on

(i) Redenhall Road (south east side) from its junction with Candlers Lane by 16.4m;

(ii) Love Lane (south side):–

a. from its junction with London Road so the overall length will be 14m; and

b. from its eastern extremity extending for 9 metres towards its junction with London Road; and

b) redefining the existing double yellow lines in Love Lane so that the restrictions are within the limits/extents of the public highway boundary.

A copy of the Order, 2011 Order being amended and a plan can be viewed online at www.norfolk.citizenspace.com. Copies are also available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich, NR1 2DH and at the offices of South Norfolk District Council, The Horizon Centre, Peachman Way, Broadland Business Park, Norwich, NR7 0WF, during normal office hours. Online viewing would be recommended.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 27th October 2025 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
