SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL

SECTION 14 – THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to make the following orders:

(STRO01224) Wood Street, Swindon. This Order is being introduced for the Old Christmas Light Switch on Event and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Wood Street (entire length) and Victoria Road between Union Row and Bath Road. Northbound Traffic to be diverted via Devizes Road, Newport Street, High Street, Cricklade Street, Drove Road, Groundwell Road and Southbound traffic via Victoria Road, Regent Circus, Clarence Street and Groundwell Road, Drove Road, Cricklade Street. The Order comes into the force on the 23 November 2025 for 1 day only between the times of 6am to 8pm.

(STRO01221) Asda Walmart Link Road, Swindon. This Order is being introduced for SBC RESURFACING and will impose a prohibition of driving on the link road between Thamesdown Drive and Asda Walmart. The Order comes into force on the 25 November 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place between 25 to 28 November 2025.

(STRO01210) Rosebery Street, Swindon. This Order is being introduced for OPENREACH and will impose a prohibition of driving on part of No’s 1 to 6 Rosebery Street. Traffic to be diverted via Manchester Road, Rosebery Street and Elmina Road. The Order comes into force on the 17 December 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place between 17 to 18 December 2025.

(STRO01222) Manor Crescent, Moredon. This Order is being introduced for SSEN WORKS and will impose a prohibition of driving on Manor Crescent. Traffic to be diverted via Bourne Road. The Order comes into force on the 17 November 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place on the 17 to 28 November 2025.
