U4062, Corney, Millom - Temporary Road Closure due to Pole Installation Works

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U4062 CORNEY, NEAR MILLOM)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable works to take place for pole installations (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U4062 Corney, near Millom, from a point approx. 900m north east of its junction with the A595, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 1km.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the U4062, A595 and U4064.

The Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months.

However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 7 days between 0800 and 1800 hours, each day and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
