Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) A350 (Part), West Ashton, Steeple Ashton and Great Hinton; from its junction with West Ashton Road to its junction with Cold Harbour to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A350 (unaffected length) – A361 – A363 – A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 01 December 2025. B) Grovelands Way (Part), Warminster; from its junction with Upton Close to its junction with Pampas Court.
C) Pampas Court (Part), Warminster; from its junction with Grovelands Way for a distance of approximately 20m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out cover and associated works. Alternative route via Grovelands Way (unaffected length) – Victoria Road – West Street – Grovelands Way (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. D) The Rank (Part), North Bradley; from its property known as No.18 The Rank to its property known as No.25 The Rank to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out new connection and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation at 09:00 on 24 November 2025 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day for 5 days. E) Oldfield Road (Part), Westbury; from its junction with Station Road to its junction with Phoenix Rise to enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out replacement of gas mains and associated works. Alternative route via Oldfield Road (unaffected length) – Mane Way A3098 – A350 – B3097 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 November 2025 and the closure will be required until 19 December 2025 and will be required on 05 January 2026 until 09 January 2026. F) A350 (Part), Upton Scudamore and Westbury; from its junction with Westbury Road to its junction with Old Dilton Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A350 (unaffected length) – A36 – A361 – C234 – C227 – A363 – A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. G) Low Road (Part), Cheverell Parva; from its property known as Cedar Fort to its property known as Holly Cottage to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out bridge repairs and associated works. Alternative route via Low Road (unaffected length) – C240 – B4040 – Low Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation at 08:00 on 03 November 2025 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day for 5 days. For further information please contact Wiltshire Council on 01225 718063.
H) UC 934001, Boyton; from its junction with UC 934002 to its junction with C10 to enable Openreach to carry out telegraph pole replacement. Alternative route via UC 934002 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. I) C41 (Part), Sutton Veny; from its property known as No.28 Devrell Road to its property known as No.28 Devrell Road to enable Wessex Water to carry out new connection and associated works. Alternative route via C41 (unaffected length) – High Street, Sutton Veny – Bell Lane – Devrells Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 November 2025 and the closure will be required for 1 day until 14 November 2025. J) Fiddington Hill (Part), Market Lavington; from its junction with Fiddington Close for a distance of approximately 45m in a south easterly direction to enable Davis Groundworks Ltd to carry out new foul water connection and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order which previously came into operation on 30 June 2025 will now recommence on 03 November 2025 and the closure will be required for 2 days. K) Station Road (Part), Codford; for a distance of approximately 20m either side of the level crossing to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out access to level crossing and associated works. Alternative route via Station Road (unaffected length) – C10 – C41 – A36 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 01 November 2024 will now recommence on 07 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:30 and 04:00 until 10 November 2025. Orders A) to I) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Orders J) and K) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2025
(Previously advertised as The County of Wiltshire (Corsham) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Prohibition of Stopping, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2024 (Amendment No.1) Order 2024)
Notice is hereby given that on 22 October 2025 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which is to revoke the Corsham Consolidation Order 2024 and to re-enact it in the above Order and to include additional restrictions, the effect of which are:
a) To introduce No Waiting at any time on:

Chestnut Grange – both sides – from its junction with Park Lane for a distance of 43 metres in a northerly direction;

Cross Keys Road – east side – from a point 18 metres north of the boundary gate of property known as Corsham Estate for a distance of 28 metres in a north easterly direction;
-
Masons Way – both sides – from its junction with Park Lane for a distance of 18 metres in a south easterly direction;
-
Park Lane – north side – i) from its junction with A4 Bath Road for a distance of 43 metres in a south easterly direction, ii) from a point 50 metres south east of the access boundary of Pickwick Park Business Park to a point 12 metres south west of that boundary
iii) from a point outside property No. 32 Park Lane for a distance of 30 metres in a south westerly direction iv) from a point 14 metres north east of its junction with Chestnut Grange to a point 110 metres south west of that junction v) from a point 32 metres north east of its junction with Silman Close to a point 13 metres south west of that junction;

Park Lane – south side – from a point 17 metres south of its junction with A4 Bath Road to a point 13 metres south west of its junction with Silman Close;

Park Lane (south western spur) – north side – from its junction with Purliegh Road for a distance of 30 metres in a westerly direction;

Park Lane (south western spur) – south side – from its junction with Purliegh Road for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction;

Park Lane (south eastern spur) – both sides – from its junction with Purliegh Road for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction;
-
Park Lane (south eastern spur) – all sides – the complete turning head outside property No. 1 and 3 Park Lane;
-
Potley Lane – both sides – from a point outside the boundary of property Nos. 44 and 45 Potley Lane for a distance of 28 metres in a south westerly direction;
-
Purliegh Road – east side – from its junction with Park Lane for a distance of 56 metres in a south easterly direction;
-
Purliegh Road – west side – from its junction with Park Lane for a distance of 50 metres in a south easterly direction;
-
Silman Close – both sides – from its junction with Park Lane for a distance of 17 metres in a north easterly direction;
b) To remove No Waiting at any time and replace with No Waiting at any time (Bus Stop Clearway) on B3353 Pickwick Road – south side – from the boundary of property known as Mansion House for a distance of 21 metres in a south westerly direction.
Following a decision from the Cabinet Member for Highways, Street Scene and Flooding amendments have been made to the restrictions previously advertised on Park Lane, Freestone Way, and Hatton Way.

Any person aggrieved by the Order or the grounds on which it is made who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of the relevant Section of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 3 November 2025.
