Cumberland, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U1192 BROADWATH AND U2056 PARTON, NEAR MICKLETHWAITE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
U1192 Broadwath, from its junction with The Dell, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 100m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U1192, U1191 Burnrigg, A69 Warwick Bridge and C1026.
Duration: From 17 November 2025 for approx. 4 days (Ref: TTRO/C/16243)
U2056 Parton, near Micklethwaite, from a point adjacent to the property known as Parton Heights, extending in an overall southerly direction for approx. 110m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2056 and A596.
Duration: From 16 December 2025 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTRO/C/16212)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
