What is happening?

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY 10MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

FLINT

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 31st October 2025 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicles from being driven at a speed exceeding 10 mph on Ceaser Avenue from its junction with A548 Chester Road and on A548 Chester Road, between its junctions with Croes Atti Lane and Albert Avenue, Flint, in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the speed restriction is to facilitate gas mains replacement works with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

It is anticipated the Order will come into force on the 17th November 2025 for 2 weeks, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months or until completion of the works whichever is earlier.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

CARMEL

Flintshire County Council has made an Order which prohibits any vehicle from proceeding in Carmel Road, between its junctions with A5026 and Gelyn Lane in Carmel in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate gas mains replacement works with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

The alternative route available for vehicles will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order comes into force on the 31 October 2025. It is anticipated that the road will only be closed for 6 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

MYNYDD ISA

Flintshire County Council has made an Order which prohibits any vehicle from proceeding in Mold Road Service Road, between its junctions with Alyndale Avenue and A549 Mold Road in Mynydd Isa, in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate gas mains replacement works with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

The alternative route available for vehicles will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order comes into force on the 3 November 2025. It is anticipated that the road will only be closed for 3 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

NOTICE OF MAKING

THE FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS) (20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH AND NATIONAL SPEED LIMITS. RESTRICTED AND DERESTRICTED ROADS)

(A5119 AND RAIKES LANE, MOLD)

(30MPH SPEED LIMIT) (AMENDMENT NO. 07) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that on the 28th October 2025, Flintshire County Council made an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 82 (2) (a) and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to amend The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Deregulated Roads) Order 2023, so as to impose:

a) A speed limit of 30mph on:-

A5119 King Street, Mold: from a point 25 metres north-east of its junction with Bro Alun to a point 85 metres from its junction with the A5119 at the Rhyd Y Galed traffic signals, in a north easterly direction.

A5119, Mold (To Sychdyn) from its junction with the A5119 at the Rhyd Y Galed traffic signals, for a distance of 51 metres in a north easterly direction.

Raikes Lane, Mold:

From its junction with the A5119 King Street, to a point 76 metres south of its junction with the Theatre Clwyd Service Road, Mold.

This Order will revoke The Flintshire County Council (A5119 Rhyd Y Galed to King Street, Mold) (Restricted Road) (Revocation) Order 2015 in its entirety and be consolidated into The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Deregulated Roads) Order 2023.

In all other respects the present provisions of The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Deregulated Roads) Order 2023 will remain in force.
