Conway Street, Temporary Closure For Electrical Connection Works
What is happening?
BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – CONWAY STREET, HOVE
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 29 October 2025 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:- The temporary closure of Conway Street east side at its junction with Goldstone Street and Fonthill Road. To maintain access during this closure it will be necessary to suspend the One-Way Order on Conway Street from its junction with Ethel Street to its junction at Goldstone Street and Fonthill Road.
The Order is necessary to allow contractors to install a new electrical connection to the bus depot.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.
This Order comes into force on 3 November 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 17 November 2025.
