What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Langthwaite to Tan Hill, Langthwaite, Order 2025, No. 388
We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Roebeck Bridge on Langthwaite to Tan Hill, Langthwaite for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 03/11/25 & 21/11/25, due to maintenance works on Roebeck Bridge. However, the max duration of this Order is for 19 days.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Bedale Road, Hunton, Order 2025, No. 390
We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Bedale Road, Hunton for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 03/11/25 & 14/11/25, due to Yorkshire Water mains renewal works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 03/05/26. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, B6270, West Stonesdale, Order 2025, No. 434
We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using the B6270 to Arkengarthdale Road at West Stonesdale from a point approximately 20 metres south of the cattle grid at the northern end of West Stonesdale Village northwards to its junction with the Arkengarthdale Road at Tan Hill for a temporary period of 2 weeks (subject to access to premises) between 17/11/25 & 11/06/27, due to works. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment No Tbc, Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Richmondshire) Consolidation Order 2013” by introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:

Scorton, B6271 Bolton Road, from a point 1.5 metres south of the south side of the vehicular access to Bolton On Swale St Mary’s Church Of England Primary School for a distance of 46 metres in a southerly direction along the layby on the east side of the carriageway – Waiting in the layby only restricted to a max of 30 minutes with no return allowed within 30 minutes.
The restriction will apply between 8:00 am & 9:00 am & also between 3:00 pm & 4:00 pm Monday to Friday.
A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Richmond Library, 10A Queens Road, Richmond, DL10 4AE during normal office hours from 31/10/25 to 21/11/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map
