What is happening?

(The Street, Feering)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Street, Feering in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Hanover Bridge for a distance of approximately 35m in a south westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th November 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGGF3W5V – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via New Lane, B1024, Coggeshall Road and vice versa (with access only into The Street and Hanover Bridge).

The Order came into effect on 24th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
