Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
A20 London Road, Allington (SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE & SUSPENSION OF BUS LANE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telecoms mast testing and maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane and bus lane on part of A20 London Road, Allington on or after 14th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The cycle lane and bus lane will be temporarily suspended opposite property number 195 for approximately 130 metres in a West direction, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
A26 Tonbridge Road & Farleigh Lane, Maidstone, ME16 9JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of A26 Tonbridge Road & Farleigh Lane, Maidstone, on or after 30th November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
A26 Tonbridge Road will be closed between the junction with Halfpenny Close and the junction with Farleigh Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A26 Tonbridge Road, A228 Malling Road, A228 Ashton Way, A20 London Road and A26 Tonbridge Road.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A26 Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road, A20 London Road, A228 Malling Road and A26 Tonbridge Road.
Farleigh Lane will be closed between the junction with A26 Tonbridge Road to property number 19, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Farleigh Lane, Gatland Lane, Fant Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
B2162 Collier Street, Collier Street, TN12 9RT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2162 Collier Street, Collier Street, on or after 13th November 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the entrance to the recreation ground car park. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Collier Street, Green Lane, Pattenden Lane, B2079 West End, B2079 Goudhurst Road, B2079 Winchet Hill, B2079 Summerhill, Ballards Hill, Goudhurst Road, The Heath, B2162 Maidstone Road, B2162 Claygate, B2162 Collier Street and vice versa.
Darman Lane, Laddingford, ME18 6DG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Darman Lane, Laddingford, on or after 12th November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Moonrakers, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow new customer service works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Headcorn Road, Ulcombe, on or after 13th November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Willows, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Headcorn Road, The Street, Ulcombe Hill, Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Ulcombe Road, Crumps Lane, Headcorn Road and vice versa.
Hermitage Lane, Detling (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hermitage Lane, Detling, on or after 27th November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Hermitage, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hermitage Lane, Broader Lane, Scragged Oak Road, Hermitage Lane and vice versa.
Rumstead Lane, Stockbury, ME9 7QL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rumstead Lane, Stockbury, on or after 29th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with A249 Sittingbourne Road and the entrance to Keepers Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Rumstead Lane, Rumstead Road, South Green Lane, Sittingbourne Road and Rumstead Lane.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Detling Hill, A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Newnham Court Roundabout M20 Junction 7, A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Detling Hill, A249 Sittingbourne Road, Stockbury Roundabout, A249 Sittingbourne Road and Rumstead Lane.
Trapfield Close, Bearsted, ME14 4HT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Trapfield Close, Bearsted, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 9. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Upper Fant Road, Maidstone, ME16 8JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water pipe works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Upper Fant Road, Maidstone, on or after 10th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 272. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Upper Fant Road, Hackney Road, Fant Lane, Gatland Lane, Farleigh Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, St Michaels Road and vice versa.
Water Lane, Headcorn (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Lane, Headcorn, on or after 14th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Brook Wood Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Well Street, Loose, ME17 4XH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Well Street, Loose, on or after 13th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Old Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow fibre installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of West Wood Road, Stockbury, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with South Street Road and the junction with Hill Green Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Willington Street, Maidstone, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Guildstead Court. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Yelsted Road, Yaugher Lane, Magpie Lane, Cox Street, Yelsted Lane and vice versa.
