Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
HIGHWAYS
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
Leywood Road, Meopham, DA13 0UH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Leywood Road, Meopham, on or after 11th November 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Plug Lane and Ham Farm.
The alternative route is via Leywood Road, Strawberry Hill, Dean Road, Oakenden Road, Foxendown Lane, The Street, A227 Wrotham Road/Gravesend Road, Harvel Road, The Paddock and vice versa.
Orchard Avenue, Gravesend, DA11 7RG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new gas supply, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Orchard Avenue, Gravesend, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Golf Links Avenue.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Golf Links Avenue, Brenchley Avenue, Singlewell Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for southbound traffic is via Golf Links Avenue Watling Street Singlewell Road and vice versa.
Princes Street, Gravesend, DA11 0BJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Princes Street, Gravesend, on or after 14th November 2025 for up to 1 night between 21.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside numbers 22-24.
The alternative route is via A226 West Street, A226 Crooked Lane, A226 Harmer Street, A226 Berkeley Crescent, A226 Milton Road, King Street, New Road.
Queen Street, Gravesend, DA12 9GR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Queen Street, Gravesend, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with King Street.
The alternative route is via Queen Street, A226 The Terrace, A226 Harmer Street, A226 Berkley Crescent, A226 Milton Road, A226 Parrock Street, A226, Lord Street, Windmill Street, Woodville Place, A227 Wrotham Road, A226 Rathmore Road, Darnley Road, A226 Bath Street, A226 West Street, A226 Crooked Lane.
Wellington Street, Gravesend, DA12 9GR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of vegetation clearance from retaining walls and building, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wellington Street, Gravesend, on or after 16th November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed. The One Way will be suspended to allow access.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge.
The alternative route is via Wellington Street, Saddington Street, Peacock Street, A226 Milton Road.
Whitepost Lane, Culverstone, DA13 0TJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whitepost Lane, Culverstone, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Ash Keys.
The alternative route is via Whitepost Lane, Newlands Lane, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.
