What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS

IN REDHILL, RUSHDEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Redhill, Rushden from its northernmost junction with C5 (unnamed road) south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 2455m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via C5 (unnamed road), A505 (Royston Road/Baldock Bypass), B656 (Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road/Royston Road), A507 Clothall Road and C5 (unnamed road) or via C5 (unnamed road), A507 Clothall Road, B656 Royston Road, A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road/Baldock Road), the A505 Baldock Road roundabout, A505 (Baldock Road/Royston Road) and C5 (unnamed road).

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides in this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN STATION ROAD, ASHWELL) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of Station Road, Ashwell from a point 1315m south east of its junction with Lucas Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 445m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Station Road, High Street, Kingsland Way, C5 (unnamed road), A505 (Royston Road/Baldock Road) and Station Road or via Station Road, A505 Baldock Road, the A505 Royston Bypass roundabout, A505 (Baldock Road/Royston Road/Baldock Bypass), B656 Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road, A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road), C5 (unnamed road), Kingsland Way, High Street, Lucas Lane and Station Road.
