C1205 Rhydunnog Lane, Temporary Road Closure

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order:

C1205 Rhydunnog Lane To Powys Boundary, Longtown, Temporary Road Closure Order,

to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1205 Rhydunnog Lane To Powys Boundary, Longtown, from the entrance of Ty-Mawr Farm, then northwards for approximately 80 metres. Grid Ref: 332512/226699. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1205 onto the C1213, onto the B4347, onto the A465, onto Longtown Road, onto the C1205 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to parapet wall remedial works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 18th of November 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 week.
