Holme Lacy, Temporary Road Closure Due To Carriageway Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1266 From B4339 To Snowdell Cottage, Holme Lacy, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1266 From B4339 To Snowdell Cottage, Holme Lacy, from the junction of the C1267 to the junction with Witherstone Lane. Grid Ref: 355910/233241.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1266 onto the C1261, onto Holme Lacy Road, onto the B4399, onto the C1266 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to carriageway remedial works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 27th of November 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 week.
