Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, ASHFORD) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS & STREET PARKING PLACES)
(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023 (AMENDMENT No.24) ORDER 2025
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposed to make the following Order:-
The effect of the made Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions (DYL means double yellow lines “no waiting at any time” restrictions) on the following length of roads in Ashford:-
BENSTED – DYL – (1) On the north west side from its junction with Washford Farm Road for a distance of 7.5 metres in north easterly direction. (2) On the south east side from its junction with Washford Farm Road for a distance of 11 metres in a north easterly direction. (3) On the north west side introduce a single yellow lines (no waiting Mon-Fri 7am-7pm) from a point 7.5 metres north east of its junction with Washford Farm Road for a distance of 21 metres in a north easterly direction. (4) On the south east side introduce a bus stop clearway from a point 11 metres north east of its junction with Washford Farm Road for a distance of 19 metres in a north easterly direction. ST STEPHENS WALK – DYL – (1) On the south side from a point 5.5 metres west of its eastern boundary with 57 St Stephens Walk for a distance of 31 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On the north side opposite from a point 3.5 metres west of its eastern boundary with 69 St Stephens Walk for a distance of 25 metres in an easterly direction. (3) On the south side introduce a bus stop clearway from a point 5.5 metres west of its eastern boundary with 57 St Stephens Walk for a distance of 19 metres in an easterly direction. (4) On the north side introduce a bus stop clearway opposite from a point 3.5 metres west of its eastern boundary with 69 Stephens Walk for a distance of 19 metres in a westerly direction. WASHFORD FARM ROAD – DYL – (1) On the north side from its junction with Bensted for a distance of 10 metres in a northwesterly direction. (2) On the east side from its junction with Bensted for a distance of 6 metres in a southeasterly direction.

(VARIOUS ROADS, DOVER) (SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.1) ORDER 2025
Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as the Act) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order.
The effect of the order would be to change the speed limit of 50MPH to national on the following length of roads in Eastry, Dover:-
A256 EASTRY BYPASS – From the roundabout with Dover Road, Cater Road and A256 Whitfield Bypass for a distance of 150 metres in a northeasterly direction. A256 WHITFIELD BYPASS – From its junction with Dover Road for a distance of 850 metres in a south westerly direction on the south bound carriage way only. DOVER ROAD – From its junction with the A256 Whitfield Bypass for a distance of 85 metres in a northerly direction. STRAIGHT MILE – From its junction with the A256 Whitfield Bypass for a distance of 35 metres in an easterly direction.
The Order was made on 6 November 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 7 November 2025.

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.6) ORDER 2025
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-
The effect of the named Order will be to extend the current School Keep Clear lines on the following length of road in Brookland, Folkestone and Hythe:-
HIGH STREET – On the south east side extend the current School Keep Clear Lines (No Stopping Mon-Fri 8am-5pm) by an additional 14 metres in a north easterly direction to a point in line with the southern boundary of Old House School.
The Order was made on 6 November 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 7 November 2025.

(AMENDMENT No.16) ORDER 2025
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-
The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Maidstone:-
ABBOTS FIELD – DYL – On both sides of its junction with Fant Lane for a distance of 11 metres in a north easterly direction. ASH GROVE – DLY - (1) On the north side to a point 38 metres northwest and to a point 15 metres southeast of its junction with Conway Road. (2) On the south side from the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Maxwell Drive extended them by 22 metres in a south easterly direction. BEAUMONT ROAD – DYL - On both sides from its junction with Frant Lane for a distance of 11 metres in a notherly direction. BONNINGTON ROAD – DYL – On the north side to a point 15 meters north east and to a point 15 meters south west of its junction with Littlebourne Road. CONWAY ROAD – DYL – On both sides from its junction with Ash grove for a distance of 15 metres in a notherly direction. CLAYGATE – DYL – On the north side from the southern boundary of 1 Forge Lodge for a distance of 34 metres in an easterly direction. FANT LANE – DYL – (1) On the north east side to a point 11 meters west and to a point 12 metres south east of its junction with Beaumont Road. (2) On the north east side to a point 11 metres north west and to a point 11 metres south east of its junction with Abbots Field. (3) On the south west side across both entrances to Bower Grove School place school keep clear markings to be enforced Mon-Thurs 8am to 9am and 3pm to 4pm and on Fri 8am to 9am and 12.30pm to 13.30pm. HAWKWOOD – DYL – On both sides of its junction with Howard Drive for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction. HOWARD DRIVE – DYL – (1) On the west side to a point 15 metres north and to a point 15 metres south of its junction with Hawkwood. (2) On the west side to a point 15 metres south and to a point 15 metres north of its junction with The Weavers. LITTLEBOURNE ROAD – DYL - On both sides of its junction with Bonnington Road for a distance of 15 metres in a north westerly direction. THE WEAVERS – DYL – On both sides of its junction with Howard Drive for a distance of 15 metres in a south westerly direction. TYLAND LANE – DYL – On the north west side extend the existing lines on both sides by a distance of 10 metres west and east of its junction with Chatham Road.

(AMENDMENT No.24) ORDER 2025
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-
The effect of the Order is to remove the single yellow lines and replace with double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Marden, Maidstone:-
GOUDHURST ROAD – (1) On the southeast side from its junction with Admiral Way for a distance of 44 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the southeast side from its junction with Adrmiral Way for a distance of 8 metres in a southerly direction. (3) On the southeast side from the southern boundary of 3 Goudhurst Road for a distance of 9 metres in a southerly direction.

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.2) ORDER 2025
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make the above-named Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to: -
To replace the current 40MPH limit with a 30MPH limit on the following length of road in Westerham, Sevenoaks:-
POOTINGS ROAD – From a point 15 metres south of the southern property boundary with The Well House for a distance of 656 metres in a south easterly direction.
This order was originally advertised as Amendment 8 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been re-numbered as above.
The Order was made on 6 November 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 7 November 2025.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make the above-named Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to: -
The effect of the order would be to reduce the existing national speed limit to 30MPH on the following length of road in Sittingbourne, Swale:-
KINSGDOWN ROAD - From the eastern entrance boundary of Buttercup Cottage for a distance of 529 metres in an easterly direction.
This order was originally advertised as Amendment 15 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been re-numbered as above.
The Order was made on 6 November 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 7 November 2025.
