Gloucestershire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION B4058 BEAR STREET (WOTTON UNDER EDGE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the B4058 Bear Street from its junction with Gloucester Street to its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 113 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for Gas main replacement works.
The said road is expected to be closed and restricted from 3rd November 2025 until 28th November 2025 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk

There will be no stopping, waiting or loading permitted throughout the duration of the works.
Alternative Route – as signed on site. Pedestrian access to premises on or next to the road, and emergency access, will be maintained.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401547 LAMPERN VIEW (ULEY PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401547 Lampern View from outside of the property known as No.19 Lampern View to the end of Lampern View (Dead End) for a distance of approximately 140 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for carriageway repairs.
The said road is expected to be closed from 1st November 2025 to 31st January 2026 or until the works have been completed. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily restrict part of the roads as described in the schedule below.

The reason for the said closure is for works as part of the keeping schools safe lining works.
No person shall stop nor wait nor load or unload or cause anyone to stop or wait or load or unload along the Road throughout the duration of the said works.
The said road is expected to be restricted from 17th November 2025 to 21st November 2025 or until the works have been completed. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

ON STREET PARKING ORDER 2017 (VARIOUS ROADS) (TOWN OF DURSLEY) (STROUD DISTRICT) (VARIATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made a Variation Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 of Part I and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will vary the Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (the 2017 Order) by introducing the waiting restrictions detailed in The Schedule below on various roads in the Town of Dursley, Gloucestershire:

This Variation shall come into operation on 6th November 2025.
The lengths of roads fall within the town of Dursley within the Stroud District of Gloucestershire. The usual exemptions will apply to Statutory Undertakers and Local Authority vehicles carrying out duties in exercise of their statutory powers, and also in the case of emergency services vehicles and disabled person’s vehicles.
A copy of the Variation Order, the plans to be revoked, the new Sealed Plans to be inserted into the Schedule of Plans together with a copy of the Statement of Reasons and 2017 Order may be viewed at The Map Room, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG and Dursley Library, May Lane, Dursley, GL11 4JH during their normal working hours or online at http://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/tros Please quote reference 5227/04.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Variation or any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement to that Act or any Statutory Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Variation may within six weeks of the date on which the Variation is made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
