Northwood Road - Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Northwood Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.185) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 17th November 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
NORTHWOOD ROAD
In its entirety (both sides).
PORTSWOOD ROAD
In its entirety (both sides).
OAKWOOD ROAD
From its junction with Northern Parade to its junction with Northwood Road (both sides).
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate gas main works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 17th November 2025 to 31st January 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place in 50 metre sections as notified by signage and letters to residents in advance of works taking place.
